Mondays' Music, a little bit of this... a little bit of that.

This started off being a flash back of videos that had special meaning in my past.  Well there will be some of that, and a few surprises.  We start off with one of those surprises, U-2s' latest video "Ordinary Love" from the move "Mandella, long walk to freedom."

This next tHIS also is one by someone we have not heard from in a while.  It is a song of being strong and taking care of one and other  So here is Jon Bonjovi "Because We Can"
This last video is a new group, well to me they are new.  This is The Killers with their ponient song "All the things I have done"    Hope you like these songs of conviction

So there you have it.  My selections of a variety of music once again that has feeling and surprises.
Til next week with the British Invasion, this is Mark aka Tamirisc signing off.

Mondays' Music that Inspires me

Amazing Grace has always been an inspirational song to me, and I fell in love with the Bag Pipes playing this when this version was used briefly at the end of STAR TREK II The Wrath of Khan.  This is the full version with bag pipes and it is truly an amazing rendition.

wHEN i WAS A MEMBER OF THE cHOIR AT gOOD sHEPHEARD cATHOLIC cHURCH, WE USED TO SING THIS SONG QUITE A BIT, IT BECAME A FAVORITE.  hERE IS mICHAEL cRAWFORD, BETTER KNOWN AS THE pHANTOM OF THE oPERA, SINGING THIS GREAT PIECE.  Sorry for the typos, this is what happens when you have a cat playing with you and you are typing.

This last song is dedicated to my Father Ralph Edward Richards, whom was a musician and arranger.  When I was 9 years old, he wrote an arangement of this song.  Every time I hear this song, I am reminded of my father and encouraged to strive, to seek to find and not to yield.  Borrowing from a poet there that last reference.

So there you have it, the songs that inspire and encourage me.

Mondays' Music Moves Me. Some of my favorites

This has always been a favorite song of mine, and I just found this version, it s different but has the spirit of the original song made famous by Kenny Rogers.

This next piece of music, was the introduction to one of my favorite television shows, which thanks to Me-TV I have had the pleasure of finding all over again as an adult.  The theme was from Family Affair, with Brian Keith and Sebastian Cabot.
This song are artist are new to me, but he is becoming a favorite.  Bruno Mars and Just the way you are.
Closing off with one of my favorite songs and groups for a long time
So there you have it, four of my favorite pieces of music, very diverse just like me,  Hope you all enjoyed.  Til next time

If you have never seen the play it is well worth it.  Here is some of the music from the musical.
