Last night, Monday June 16th, my wife and I attended a special theater presentation of DOCTOR WHO and The Rise of the Cybermen and Hearts of Steel.
These two episodes were merged into a two hour movie that for any die hard Whovian kept you on the edge of your seat. It was great seeing these episodes in one full length feature without commercial interruption or having to wait a week or next day to see the final episode.
The actors were great on screen and actually because of being on a larger screen than normal you could see all the emotional reactions and the effects were just stunning on the big screen.
When the movie ended there was a brief documentary where David Tennant was interviewed and we got some background on the episodes and also how the second season of Doctor Who may never have happened.
There was also the interview done with David at the time of the 50th anniversary which we all saw when THE DAY OF THE DOCTOR was aired.
If you are a Whovian and have the chance to see this special, then do, and if you have never seen DOCTOR WHO, which seems impossible, go and see this. By the time this is over you well may be a fan.
