This is a great book, that tells the story of Jim Hensen and his Muppets.
It explores how Jim Hensen created Muppets and how they became known as Muppets; Jim Hensen came up with the term as a combination of Marionettes and Puppets. Henson changed the way that Puppets were made.
Gone is the wood that left traditional puppets rigid and unable to give facial reactions. Hensen changed this and made his muppets able to give reactions.
But the book is so much more than just about the Muppets, it is about Jim Hensen and his family it is about how a shy man overcame his shyness got married and had five children.
But most importantly it is a book about how a man did make a difference in the lives of children of the world.
The book is by Joan Holub and is illustrated by Nancy Harrison, and is 5 Stars all the way.
