Up in the air

Sometimes life moves so rapidly that we forget to breathe.  We get caught up in events, that seem larger than our lives and we feel small and powerless.

Sometimes, we beging to move forward that we forget to look at where we have been, and what life has given us.

I am on the fringe of a new beginning, my wife and I will be moving to Missouri, before the year is over.  This is a huge event and one that is becoming more and more tangable all the time.

In recent weeks I have been so focused on this, that I have forgotten some of what makes Colorado special, and has made my life special.

Here are a few things that have been events in my life, some wonderful, some tragic and yet they have been things that I am thankful for and will treasure as I prepare for this new part of my life at 50 and now almost 51.
I have always felt a great sense of loss for this nation because of President Kennedy's death, and still feel this way today.

One small step.  I watched with baited breath when I was 9  years old.

  2. I have family in Colorado and my son once worked in Durango and I remember riding the train to the resort and remembering the beauty.
We uprooted almost 3 years ago (50 & 52), moved to Washington. Life has been difficult, but I wouldn't trade a minute of it, we have been blessed in so many ways.
Keep us posted & what part of Missouri? I have friends there!

We are hoping to move about 45 minutes south of St. Louis, back to my home town.
