A 30 DAY CHALLENGE. DAY 3 DONA NOBIS PACEM,

I had originally planned on doing a blog today on music, and how it has been part of my life since I was a child.

However I saw a couple blogs dedicated to Peace, and decided this was a worthy venture.  I have always believed since I was about six years old, that we are all brothers and  sisters and that we can live together in peace.

I used to say to people that the Russian people wanted peace as much as we, but they had no say because of their government, and this was during the Cold War that seemed to drag on for a hundred years.

I was ahead of my time, and some people looked at me as if I were crazy.

Even today I feel that we are all brothers and sisters and that collectively we all desire peace.  But the same problem is still there, that was in play during the Cold War.  People do not express their feelings for peace because what ever nation they live in has repressed their ability to speak and act to bring peace into being.

I know from history, that time and again when people are focused collectively, things change.  Civil Rights marches, Ghandis' protests in India to get the British out are but a few examples.

We need to come together collectively in the 1960s' not to land a man on the moon, but to bring Peace to our world for all times.

It is long past the time that we should know Peace, we as a collective race of humans have allowed countless bloodshed through history and it is time for the bloodshed to end permanently.

Let us make 2013 the beginning of a new cycle, a cycle of world peace.  A cycle where we can embrace our brothers and sisters whether they be from Mexico, China or South Africa.

Let us collectively work to bring Peace into the world for good.

If we just stop and think before we act, it is a beginning.  If we learn to be calm, even when a coworker, family member or political leader says or does something that would usually get us angry, if we stop and think before we respond, we can sow the seeds of Peace, by being calm instead of being upset.

Here is some music to help you be on the path to peace.

Peace to everyone.

Let there be Peace on Earth and let it begin with me  The Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
No better way of closing this off than with the original video of John Lennon leading a live concert of Give Peace a chance.  That's what we still need to do.
