A-Z Challenge. Names and Places in the Bible April 1st and 2nd delayed #atozchallenge




Welcome.

This is an apology, I would have posted these first two posts Friday and Saturday, but only came up this idea last night.

This will be the different names, locations and terms that come from The Bible in alphabetical order. Not all names will be featured, these are some that are significant to me. 

I sincerely hope that you enjoy this journey.

A is for

Aaron: Older brother of Moses, spokes person for his brother and first high priest of the Israelite's.

Abel: Second son of Adam and Eve.  Murdered out of envy by his brother Cain.

Abiel: Name of the Grandfather of King Saul of the old Testament.

Abram: Swallowed by an earthquake after opposing Moses.

Adam: First man created in Gods image,inhabited
the Garden of Eden

Apostle: The individuals selected by Jesus to go out and teach the Gospels.

April 2nd 

B is for

Barnabas: From Acts of the Apostles.  Name given to a man named Joseph who was a companion of Paul on his missionary journeys.

Bartholmew: is the byname of a apostle aka as Nathaniel.

 Benjamin: 12th son of Jacob, founder of one of the 12 tribes. His name originally meant Son of my Sorrow.  His mother Rachel died shortly after giving birth.

Bethlehem:  Not just the birth place of Jesus, but David the second King of Israel.
